Overview

Dierksen Hospice is looking for a Part Time Medical Records Coordinator. If you are looking for a career with a purpose and a supportive team culture, then this is the position for you!

 

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for managing patients' medical records and history. Main duties include helping conduct audits, gathering and filing patient information, and processing discharge papers. The Medical Records Coordinator works closely with the hospice management team and works with the Quality Assurance Committee.

 

Schedule: Part-time, averaging 20-24 hours/week.

Responsibilities

  • Creates new patient clinical records and breaks down discharged patients' records as required.
  • Develops and implements systems to assure organization and timely retrieval of patient documentation.
  • Maintains charts to meet Medicare/Medicaid regulations by auditing records at regular intervals to assess for compliance.
  • Actively participants in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with the policies of the Hospice company and rules and regulations of state and federal licensing agencies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
  • Hospice and Medicare/Medicaid experience a plus.
  • Must be compassionate, organized, and excited to work in a fast-paced meaningful environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process
